CS2 Competitive Calendar 2025 will wrap up with a bang as we prepare for the second biggest CS2 tournament of 2025! This Major’s prize pool has not yet been announced. However, we’re sure it will be at least $1,000,000.
Full list of main CS2 Winter 2025 Tournaments (25/26): CS2 Major Championship Winter
The two 2025 CS2 Major Championships are going to be huge. First up is BLAST.tv Austin Major in June, which is pretty exciting! The Winter Major in December (location TBA) will wrap up the year. Majors are special because they bring together the absolute best teams from every region, and the atmosphere is always electric. Each 2025 CS2 Major Championship has an enormous prize pool, but honestly, it’s not even about the money. Winning Major CS2 tournaments is like winning the World Cup of CS2.
The biggest prize pools, including the 2025 PGL CS2 tournaments and CS2 Major Championships, are hitting $1.25 million. IEM Katowice (January-February) and IEM Cologne (July-August) are still huge deals with $1 million prize pools each.
While Europe’s still the central hub for major CS2 tournaments, North American fans get some action with Counter-Strike 2 events in 2025 in Austin and Dallas.
IEM Katowice & Cologne are legendary for a reason. IEM Katowice kicks off the year in the famous Spodek Arena. It’s the unofficial start of the CS2 season. The crowd in Poland is always insane! Then, in summer, we get IEM Cologne, which people call the “Cathedral of Counter-Strike.” Both have $1M prize pools and top-tier production value. Even though they’re not Majors, teams sometimes say winning Katowice or Cologne feels just as important.
Let’s also do a quick rewind on Valve’s latest rules on the 2025 (and beyond) CS2 tournaments’ ecosystem. The biggest change Valve made is getting rid of tournament partnership systems. Before, certain organizers had a special status, and their tournaments were more important for rankings and qualifications. Now, it’s more of an open playing field.
The new system’s still fresh. The changes were announced in October 2024. Looks like it’s making Counter-Strike 2 events 2025 more competitive and open. Teams can’t just rely on partner status anymore! They have to perform well to stay at the top consistently. It will probably make for more exciting Counter-Strike 2 events in 2025 because every event counts toward building ranking points and reputation.
For fans wanting to catch some live CS2 action, you’ve got plenty of chances – there’s at least one big LAN event every month. There are so many cool Counter-Strike 2 events in 2025 happening across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East that you might find one close to home.
So yeah, the real winners are the fans who’ll get to witness the best teams battling each other live during CS2 tournaments in 2025. Oh, and the excitement for CS2 Major Championships 2025 will just keep growing!
Save this CS2 Competitive Calendar 2025, stock up on energy drinks, and prepare for what will probably be the most action-packed year in CS2 history yet!
